What comes to mind when you hear "THE SONG OF THE STARS"? Alfonso Anzivino immediately had a vision...
In more than 400 hours of work, he created a perfectly elaborated connection between music and celestial bodies, with the highest demands on quality and materials used: the Collier Universo!
The opulent necklace consists of several components with many masterfully handcrafted details.
Clear elements such as staves, notes, the sun and the nine planets are used, as well as a symbolic language that is only recognizable at second glance, which is what makes this unique piece so fascinating.
The centerpiece, made of rhodium-plated 750/- palladium white gold, is dedicated to the melody of the well-known song "From Heaven Above to Earth I Come." Flawless diamonds adorn the entire center section with the staff lines and the circular element, which represents the infinity of the universe.
Following the melody, precisely recreated by the positioning of eight Tahitian pearls on staff lines, three tear-shaped elements of different lengths emerge. Their ends, like falling shooting stars, provide deep glimpses into the wearer's décolletage.
Behind the cool metal strands of the central piece, the sun, plastically crafted from 750/-
yellow gold, gleams as the center of the universe.
Viewed from the side, the authentically shaped violin head is particularly striking. A refined, concealed bayonet lock system has been integrated into it. At the same time, it leads to the second main component: the representation of the nine planets.
Here, the faithful reproduction of color and size representation, as well as their order according to their actual distance from the sun, plays the main role.
The planet Saturn is remarkable, offering a magnificent eye-catcher with its ring of brilliant-set palladium white gold.
A particularly beautiful Tahitian pearl represents the Earth in the Universo necklace: it shines with a blue-green surface between Venus and the red planet Mars.
The anthracite coloring of the Tahitian pearls integrated between the planets symbolizes the infinite darkness of space.
"The Universo Necklace is one of my most outstanding pieces. Above all, it is one of my most emotional. The creation phase alone was extensive, going far beyond the actual goldsmithing part. I wanted to create a piece of jewelry in complete perfection for eternity.
Since I am not a musician, I visited a violin maker. From him, I learned a lot about this wonderful instrument. Most importantly, I was able to make a drawing on site to model a violin head that was as perfectly recreated and plastically designed as possible.
The musical notes on the strings, by the way, are exactly as the composer of the song "Vom Himmel hoch, da komm ich her" placed them.
At the planetarium, I had the celestial bodies explained to me in detail once again. With incredible competence and enthusiasm, these experts supported me in how the exact depiction in my necklace could look....
Oh, I could tell you about this fascinating unique piece for hours. At every exhibition, the many background details thrilled visitors. I would be happy to tell you my Universo Necklace story as well....
For a long time, this unique piece was not for sale. But eventually, it's time to part with one's own highlights,... "
