Milano Jewelry Week - Vernissage October 19, 2023

The time had finally come: The ARTISTAR JEWELS opened with a vernissage on October 19, 2023, at Palazzo Bovara.

All artists, the committee, galleries, Wallis Hong, Alex Wong, and Alessio Boschi were also present. Journalists and digital creators Jewellery Pursuer, Agata from BLINGSIS, and Donna Jewels were invited. Finally, certificates of participation in Milano Jewelry Week were issued.

It was a great opportunity to network and exchange knowledge. The mutual appreciation among the artists was very impressive and comforting. No trace of envy or competitive struggle. No, on the contrary: open and honest recognition of each other's creations. Art, jewelry, fashion - all of that is a matter of taste - but at this high level of goldsmithing, every single piece has its justification.

Because: Every year, a committee selects from all applicants who may even be part of the Artistar Jewels. In step 2, each applicant may present their pieces. From this, the jury then decides which pieces the artist may participate with. Every year, many applicants are rejected and/or are only allowed to participate with a smaller number of artworks than submitted.

This procedure only became clear to us in Milan, because everything went absolutely smoothly for us. Alfonso had applied with 10 of his unique pieces - and shortly thereafter came the notification that all 10 pieces had been accepted. What a success and, above all, what recognition from such a high-caliber expert committee.
