What is empathy - generally, for me, for my pieces??

Empathy is a fundamental human trait that allows us to understand and empathize with the emotions and experiences of others. In art, empathy enables the artist to put themselves in the shoes of others and express these feelings and perspectives in their works.

Art is a form of expression that can convey deep emotions and thoughts. It has the power to move, inspire, and provoke thought in people. Without empathy, art can lose its impact and become a mere product or a superficial form of entertainment.

Art without empathy may be skillfully crafted, technically precise, and aesthetically pleasing. But ultimately, it will fail to connect with viewers and engage their feelings and thoughts. Empathy allows artists to portray universal human experiences and emotions, thus creating a connection between artist and audience.

Artworks born from empathy can lead us to identify with other people, broaden our understanding and tolerance, and inspire us to strive for change.
